In Minnesota, a “Neutral” is an individual who provides ADR services such as mediation. Neutrals who meet specific training and ethical requirements and are listed on the State Court Administrator’s Rule 114 Roster are called Qualified Neutrals. Minnesota Courts
No. As a mediator and Qualified Neutral, I am not acting as your attorney. I do not provide legal advice or representation. My role is to manage the process and support balanced, informed decision-making.
Mediation is generally confidential, with some exceptions outlined in Rule 114 (for example; the judge, MN Revisor's Office) and any agreement we sign. I will review confidentiality with you at the start of our work together.
Yes. You can attend with or without attorneys present. You may also consult your attorney between sessions or before signing agreements.
